Greatest Tee Ever Worn.

Size: XL
Where: Old Navy

Why: It was free.

Comment: I had just bought some polo shirts and things and was leaving the Old Navy when who do I see by the exit but Morgan Spurlock? He was doing a promotion for his movie The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, which I assumed had him making appearances at all sorts of different stores like this. I went up to say hello, and he was nice enough to take a picture.

I still haven't seen the movie, to be honest. :s

The shirt is a lie. It claims to be the greatest tee ever worn, but I've never worn it. So there.

Pride Run 2010.

Size: M
Where: Front Runners New York / New York Road Runners

Why: Free with race participation.

Comment: This was my very first race, ever. I hadn't planned to run any races last year other than the marathon, but was convinced at the last minute to sign up for this one. Anyway, they gave me a free tech shirt, which kind of spoiled me for all races that DON'T give free tech shirts, or ANY shirts, period. Pride Run 2011, I will note, did not give out ANY shirt, tech or otherwise. Did get a nice sackpack and a pretty cheap hat, though.

I don't wear this shirt too often. Those neon-yellow stripes on the shoulders just bug me.

Ambercrombie & Quidditch.

Size: M
Where: Teefury

Why: I like these fake-athletic shirt designs, and this one was especially fun and geeky. I do believe this is my one and only Potter shirt.

Comment: The Deathly Hallows, part 2 comes out today. Crazy, isn't it? That the movies are finally done after all this time? You should go back and see the first movie sometime, just to see how freaking TINY these kids used to be.

My only complaint about the design is that the crossed broomsticks, to me, look like feet and antenna on the seeker, giving it a distinctly and not-attractive insectile look.

Teefury subsequently made a Slytherin shirt, which I did not get. I thought they'd make shirts for the other two houses, but they haven't yet, and after all this time I'm guessing that they won't. Sad - I would have been all over a Ravenclaw shirt. That's my house. :)

Denver Legendary.

Size: M
Where: Denver International Airport gift shop

Why: I was on my way home from visiting Dagfinn and Laura in Denver when I realized that I was actually about to leave the city without a t-shirt! Horrors! I'm still disappointed from the night before that Casa Bonita didn't have the shirt I wanted in my size, but this one, in a nice, soft, heather grey with faux-vintaged retro gas stationy design is pretty cute.

UAE Healthy Kidney 10K.

Size: M
Where: New York Road Runners

Why: Free with race entry.

Comment: I signed up for this race without reading about it too carefully, as I didn't realize until I showed up that the UAE was for the Emirates, and was not the name of some kidney health organization. I have a little problem with the Emirates, as I think they ride on their reputation of "hey, we're not as bad as those other guys" a bit hard and willfully trick a lot of people into thinking that they're some sort of party-country, when in fact conditions there are still pretty heinous.

But, I'm certainly not going to get all political on a t-shirt blog of all places.

It's a little bear with a stethoscope!

They also gave out a free sack-pack at the race, another thing that I think you can't have enough of. Inside the pack, though, I found these:

Weird.
