Higway Robbery.

Size: M
Where: Shan picked this up for me at a highway rest stop somewhere between here and...somewhere. Atlantic City, perhaps?

Why: She thought it was funny, and I would tend to agree.

Comment: It's a funny shirt, but funnier still is the fact that they were selling this shirt at a rest stop / gas station, the very place where said robbery takes place daily. Irony?

The dollar signs are amusing, but if you look closely you can see that they also put a little paisley pattern on the bandanna. Cute.

Bandanna. Bandanna. That's a funny word, isn't it? Bandanna. Bandanna. Bandanna. Bandanna.

Walt Disney World.

Size: M
Where: Johnny & Harlem bought this for me when they went to Disney World last summer.

Why: Johnny & Harlem got me this shirt and a bunch of other stuff (including a magnet shaped like Kermit the Frog's head) in return for me watching their apartment and their cats for a couple days, and also because they forgot to stock their fridge full of KitKats before they left, like they said they would.

Comment: Happy birthday, America! I wanted to post this shirt on the Fourth of July, because really what could be more American than Disney World?

Made in El Salvador WTF??

Blocks Build You.

Size: M
Where: woot

Why: Great, clever image.

Comment: Love the pseudo-Soviet propaganda poster look, and yes, I also love the orange (which I a lot of people don't like, but I do).

I was quite a Tetris fiend in high school/college. I wonder how I'd fare now, as it's been about that long since I've played it.

According to the boards on woot, the writing on the shirt translates as "Build as if you're building for yourself!", and the writing along the bottom reads "Let's gift happiness to this buildings future occupants!"

Seriously, I don't think I've ever bought a shirt off of woot as fast as I bought this one. :D

Why: Sale, also liked the design.

Comment: I just thought the line art was gorgeous, even if that purple/pink is not my favorite color.

108 Objects From Flight 815.

Size: M
Where: threadless

Why: LOST has long been one of my favorite shows, and it was about time I got a shirt commemorating it.

Comment: So, what did you think of the finale? I loved it personally. And no, it didn't quite "explain" every last thing, but I've said from the beginning that the island and all its "secrets" was just a giant MacGuffin, that the real "point" of the show was just to showcase some great characters (and, of course, actors), and in that sense I found the final episode quite satisfying (minor quibbles aside). I'm frankly surprised that they "explained" as much as they did. And anyway, the more I read other people's theories of what it all "means", the more it makes sense (plotwise).

Anyway, from threadless comes this great shirt. Like I've said in the past, I much prefer shirts like these to ones that simply have the movie/show/what-have-you's name and logo on it. This one in particular is quite "Easter egg-y" - even I haven't finished examining all the details yet, let alone counting to make sure there really are 108 objects on display. :p

Seriously, like the show itself, hours of fun just exploring, examining, reliving.
